St. Maur International School Food Fair  ( on April 29 )

 

One of the most exciting cultural events of the school year is the Annual International Food Fair. This event always takes place on April 29, regardless of the day of the month or week. Although classes are not held on this day, it is a day spent in the school atmosphere, as all students, teachers, administrators and parents get involved with various activities at the fair. This event allows the local community to share international cuisine, exchange cultural knowledge, and enjoy a day of entertainment and friendship.

1st Grade
1st Grade was doing a game of fishing. To do this game, you buy a game ticket for 100\. The way to do it is you hold on to a fishing rod and you hook a wrapped parasol on the elastic band that is stuck to it and scoop it up. You can receive the parasol as your prize.

2nd Grade -Popcorn For Sale!
The 2nd graders have a booth for popcorn, but they also walk around selling popcorn. A cone of popcorn for 100\.
 

3rd Grade -Bowling
3 grade owns a bowling game. To do this game, you will need to buy a game ticket for 100\. You get 3 chances to roll the ball to the pins. You get the prizes according to how many pins fell.
 

4th Grade -Attack the Castle
To do this game, you will need to buy a game ticket for 100\. The way to do it is you throw the ball 3 times into the boxes. If you get 3 balls into the boxes, you get the high prize or any of the lower prizes. If you get 2 balls in the boxes, you get the medium prizes or the low prize. If you get 1 ball, you get the low prize. If you get none, DON’T WORRY! You can try omikuji.
 

5th Grade -Golf

5th grade is doing a golf game. To do this game, you will need to buy a game ticket for 100\. The way to do it is you hold on to the golf stick and hit the ball. You will get 3 tries. If you get 3 balls into the golf hole, you get the high prize or any of the lower prizes. If you get 2 balls in the golf hole, you get the medium prizes or the low prize. If you get 1 ball, you get the low prize. If you get none, you get 2 candies.

6th Grade
Grade 6 did a game to not let the ring touch the wire. To do this game, you will need to buy a game ticket for 100\. The way to do it is you hold on to the ring and the wire is through the ring. You hold the ring and get it to the other side without touching the wire. Then you get the prizes the 6th graders tell you..

 

 

Face Painting
Face painting booth was run by teachers and 11th grade girls. You can choose from various designs. Such as a tiger, a butterfly, bunny etc. Or if you are too shy to have whole face paintings, you can have one point picture on your cheek, such as a music note, a heart etc. A tiger face painting is one of awesome ones because we couldn't know who you were. It is a kind of beautiful mask!! You should try it!

9th Grade -Beauty Stand (nail polish, hair dye, and French braids)
Nail polish; you can choose about 40 colors of nail polish such as pearly 
ones, shiny ones, clear ones. And then you can choose small chips of stars 
or hears.
Hair dye; you can choose some colors such as pink, silver or blue. Lots 
of people were lining up for this!
French braids; 9th grade girls make your hair French braids. It is 
outstanding!

Shaved Ice
There is a booth of Shaved Ice, 1 for 150\. The flavors that you can choose from are Strawberry, Cola, Melon, Lemon, and Blue Hawaii. You can also get rainbow (, which is all flavors in 1 shaved ice) or any other variations.
 

International Beer
There are all kinds of beers from all different kinds from all around the world.  beer.

For example, New Carstle Brownale is an Indian Beer. Whistler is a Canadian beer.

Chili Booth
The Chili Booth sells homemade spices.
 

Chinese Booth
The Chinese Booth sells delicious Chinese Foods. The gyoza was the best!
 

European Booth
The European Booth served many different European meals.

Filippino Booth
The Filipino Booth’s one of the most traditional foods is called Chicken Adobo
 and another one is called pancit (stir fry noodles). 

French Booth
The French Booth sells many French foods. The French Bread (Baguette) was delicious..

Hawaiian Booth
The Hawaii Booth’s one of the most traditional foods is called Smam Musubi..

Indian Booth
The Indian Booth’s one of the most traditional foods is called Chicken Curry with the nan (Indian bread). 

Irish Pub
Irish pub sells Irish coffee. It makes you very warm. But it includes alcohol. So not for kids!! Oops!
Jamaican Booth
The Jamaica Booth’s one of the most delicious foods are the Ginger Cakes.

Japanese Booth
Japanese booth sells yakitori (BBQ chicken), BBQ corn, rice balls, Japanese beer, soft drinks and Yakisoba (Japanese fried noodle).

Korean Booth
Korean booth sells chijimi, kimuchi, Yakiniku lunch box and drinks. I recommend chijimi and lunch box. They are very delicious.

Latin American Booth
 

Lebanese Booth
The 2nd graders have a booth for popcorn, but they also walk around selling popcorn. A cone of popcorn for 100\.
 

Mexican Booth
Mexican booth sells Guacamoles with taco chips. They are deliciouso!
 

Sausages&Draft Beer/ Soft Drinks

USA Booth
The USA Booth’s one of the most traditional foods is hamburger because it is very famous in USA, and very American.

New Zealand/ Australian Booth
 

Vendors
There are many venders inside in the gym and outside along the tennis court. Most sell toys and books for children.
