Kingdom of Bahrain

National Day Reception

The Kingdom of Bahrain is a group of islands located in the central southern shores of the Arabian Gulf and the eastern side of the Arabian Peninsula. "Bahrain" means "two seas" in Arabic because of the pure water over the island and the seawater around one. Thanks to the pure water, the island is rich with green and that is why some consider that the Garden of Eden was in Bahrain. In the ancient time, Bahrain played a part as trading point both with Mesopotamian and Indus civilization and now the Kingdom of Bahrain plays a role as a financial center in the Gulf region.

The National Day Reception of the Kingdom of Bahrain was held at the Imperial Hotel. The reception celebrated the 43th Anniversary of the country's independence.
