PERU MANNERS CLASS On April 10th, 2015
In addition to our embassy and residence tour, His Excellency Mr. Elrard Escala and his Spouse Her Excellency Madame Cristina Escala prepared usall dinner. We were presented by not dish but a delicious full course along with guidance in table manners.

After the interview, his Excellency Mr. Elard Escala and his wife Madame Cristina Escala warm-heartedly prepared us a Peruvian dinner at their residence. We were served a course dinner including quinoa salad, along with original Peruvian beans and vegetables. As a reporter, we were able to feel the importance of eating healthy food, as quinoa is qualified crop, a source for numerous proteins and vitamins. Along with the dishes, the ambassador Mr. Elard Escala explained to us the “Inca cola”, a typical soda beverage in Peru. During the dinner, Madame Cristina Escala gave us guidance on the table manners when eating course menus, served at special occasions. Along with trying Peruvian cuisine, we felt like we got a little closer to becoming a wonderful lady like Madame Cristina Escala.

During our visit, H.E Mr. Escala and Madame Escala welcomed us warmly with an exquisite Peruvian dinner. The meal was a full-course dinner with Peruvian dishes that contained products such as avocados, corns, and different types of potatoes native to Peru were presented beautifully. In addition to this, we were able to benefit from the thorough explanation Madame Escala gave us on table manners.

The ambassadors wife showed us how to eat and how to whipe your mouth. First we by using the fork and knife. We use the fork upside down. We put the food on the upside down fork with the knife and bring it to our mouths. After eating we whipe our mouths with napkins. We had our napkins on our laps. We took the napkin and whiped our mouth by the edge of it.
